CHANG MAI - CHANHG RAI - HUAY XAI

When you are in Chang Mai, you can better book a direct bus to Chiang Khong, it's no difference in price.Bargaining was not possible this time.
Arrived after a bumpy ride at Chiang Khong at 17:25, walked about 15 minutes to the Immigration Office to arrange the departure from Thailand, just in time to take the last longtail boat over the Mekong River for 40 Bath, after 18:00 not possible. You have to fill 2 forms for the Laos Visa On Arrival. Pay 35 US Dollars and you're in Laos legally. Oh, and they charged me 1 US Dollar fine, because I was 1 minute late for the passport check (18:01).
Dropped my stuff at the BAP Guesthouse, and walked around to find WiFi (no have...), food and an ATM. Well, my bankcard is broken and not working anymore. But you can also pay in Bath and US Dollars. Joined some people in the bar that just did the Gibbon Experience. Just have to find out if I can join the tour tomorrow, because it's fully booked for the next weeks.
