...The Freedom, The Experience...

Feathers, beanbags and flying pillows - Big Brother Adventures and more of the aftersummer

Just getting back to the 'hard' Melbourne life... On Friday I met Celeste, a Dutch Asian girl and we discovered all the tasteful places of Melbourne CBD. Walking through all the small alleys and lanes with bars and restaurants (and lots of expensive chocolate shops!). Luckely I found something I was looking for months; a good old 'Patatje Oorlog' at LORD OF THE FRIES. They call it Asian sauce but it is Belgian mayonaise, peanut sauce and onions. And try the chocolates of BRUNETTI.

Saturday 10th of April was the big day, took my pillow and went to Carlton Gardens in front of IMAX. Wolrdwide Pillowfightday. Nobody from St. Kilda wanted to join me, but I made some crazy new friends. Hundreds of people dressed up in wicked pyjamas and armed with multiple pilows, beanbags and more. Even before the big horn started people started fightingThis is so cool, just fight with everybody on the street and hit them as hard as you want. Even slamming girls in the middle of their face whahaaa. Well after 1 hour some groups thought they could handle me with maximum 5 guys/girls at the same time...WRONG CHOICE! I ended up with 5 pillows! Martial Arts pillowfighting bro!And don't fall on the ground if youdon't wanna get beaten up by dozens of people. It was snowing in the Carlton Gardens for a while, people that came out of the IMAX-theatre looked a little bit surprised, even the couple that tried to shoot wedding pictures at that spot choose to leave the battlefield.

Theweekendnights areforthe nightshifts of Habitat HQ.Sundaymorning arriving atour big house was ashock...some people still outside at 6 AM, we had a great time till 9 AM. Drinking, marking everything we could find (cups, couches, eachother atc.) Well, we don't tell anyone who did what ;-) At some point it went to crazy and our house manager came out of hi shed furious 'Shut the fuck up and get this music out!' Nobody seemed to care. The house is still crazy, living with 34 different and interesting personalities under 2 roofs (including strippers). Always reasons for a party, alive 24 hours, one big dirty mess, tables full of beer and Goon, people ending up in other peoples rooms, our cute little red house pussycat, everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is filmed and showed to all inhabitants next day :-) It's even crazier then 'Big Brother' or 'De Gouden Kooi'.

In the following week I started working for 'Harts', a big party/event hire company in Melbourne with Jurriaan and 'Be Carefuuul' French Michael. I was lucky that I went outside on the sites everyday. Normally that doesn't happen with new guys. Seeing all nice spots of Melbourne and surroundings. Wednesday a nice drop off at Collingwood Townhall with lots of girl models, Thursday a great scenery at Yarra Valley on the Warburton Golfcourse, Friday building up a big Rave at the Docklands (damn the foreman Scotty was going mental, wanted to quit his job and called me a smartass hehe). Sunday Yarry Valley... here I got rid of my wasp-fear. Building of the marquees in the burning heat with dozens of wasps around us and attacking us. They are not as dangerous as I expected. Yes the weather changed this week, from cold 13 degree autumn to a wonderful hot after summer. Saturday I spend all day on the beach with champagne and the Dutchies, Jurriaan invited his friends Stefanie and Kim.

This weekend hard life, working double shifts. In the nights at HABITAT and during the day at HARTS. Crazy and not more then 3 hours of sleep a day. The French guys kept me awake for days. Thursday drunken in the living, throwing computer screens through the room at English John. Friday the fire extinguiser was used to set the whole house in white chemical dust. Everything was fucked and it looked like snowing in the house. Last weekend the situation excalated with English John. He came in very drunk and went mentally fucked at some point. The table in the courtyard flew over the veranda. Bottles through the air and a fight in the house with several people. John was kicked out on his bare feet...

This week it got more quiet, the police came.Besides that...Day & Nite, I work all the time. Can't keep my eyes open in the trains, trams and in the car...so tired. All for the money. Earning around 1.000 bucks a week is the reason for this torture. I'm gonna be rich (and famous).

And there was a jacuzziweekend planned in our garden in the shared house. Some people were too greedy to spend 7 dollars for a whole weekend in a big jacuzzi with champagne. I'm dissapointed :-) It should be so chill! Still I'm getting more tanned with the sun on my face everyday,

Many people tell me that I'm unlucky with so many things...sorry but I'm NOT!Enjoying and having the best time of my life. Sometimes bad things happen, but it will always end upgood and makes you realise to respect everything in your life...the words of a 'smartass' :-)
